    There is a water crisis, the pronghorn are being rounded up and removed to make room for more developers. All the grassy hills are slated for development and they want to make Prescott, Prescott valley and Chino Valley into one giant Mega city that will be the biggest in North Arizona. There is great difficulty finding doctors and the traffic sucks. I know because I live here.

    Living in Prescott is not only a peaceful way to live but a healthy place to live. No stress from the big city lifestyle yet all of the big city amenities, Prescott is rated at the top of USA cities for clean air. There are lakes to fish, kayak and hike around, pine filled mountains to hike, bike, horseback ride through and explore, or camp in. Wide open plains where you'll find cattle and Pronghorn antelope grazing. The history of the area includes the Native Peoples (who were here before Europeans arrived) and their "cities" that today teach us where and how they lived through their architectural ruins left behind. The local Yavapai Tribe's reservation, surrounded by Prescott, share their culture with all and contributes greatly to the Prescott life!

    “Living in Prescott has never been so affordable” 😂😂😂 yeah, if you have come from California and have a lot of extra money, when you can’t find a decent apartment for under $1000 a month, that’s not affordable.

      Timothy Garrahan I’ve seen decent homes around 2000 square feet for $350k but that’s still crazy. The same home would go for around $200k in Texas. Maybe $250-300 if you were in a big city with high demand like Dallas or Austin.

    I live in Prescott and we already have an influx of Californians. Please no more!!! They have drove up prices on homes, rentals, gas and food. Their driving habits are the worse I've ever seen. The town and county water supply can't keep up with demand. Now a corporation is trying to get a resort built next to one of the nicest places to visit, The Granite Dells. Most residents don't want you here except for the business owners and realty companies because the more of you here the higher they will raise prices. Stay in California or go somewhere else

    I enjoy hearing Toni Tennille's voice. Most probably don't know it, but she is or was, one heck of a hiker. I met her in the backcountry of the Sierra Nevada one evening in the early 1980's. She had just done a 15-20 mile day hike with about 8 of it off trail over a major ridge at high elevation. I think we had some lightning that day and most of the cross country route she was on was above treeline. She took an annual trip in the Sierra with some friends, all women, including a number who were wives of L.A. Dodger players. She was a down to earth, friendly woman and I was impressed with the hike she an a couple other ladies took that day. I knew that she was the real thing, not some image created by public relations types, as that was not an easy journey that day. I think Steve Garvey's wife was there as well. They were all down to earth and friendly. I think they even had patches or hats made for the trips they took each year. I think there was a silhouette of a alpine ridge, the letters "WITS" or something like it and the year of the trip. I think "WITS" stood for "Women in the Sierra."

    Work? What work? There's retirees and service industry and that's it. The chamber of commerce has sold out this town to the US, claiming it's some paradise, yet it's hardly that. Again, great if you'd like to retire. It has beauty, which is all being developed and the traffic has gotten 375 percent worse, which is exactly consistent with the growth of Prescott Valley. 375 percent growth over the past few years. It's showing. It's not the place it used to be. Don't be fooled by magazine articles paid for by the chamber of commerce. This whole place has undergone major changes and they are fueled by the longing for more tax revenue to pay off their unfunded liabilities from the firefighters, police, etc.

    I say something about its lack of diversity and culture..which is a fact..and all the white people go on defense..ASSUMING I am not white...but I am...you guys are ridiculous. Sad to see how closed minded you all are.

    • @joeperez-marchese1213
      @joeperez-marchese1213 7 лет назад

      Why is diversity so important? I'm latino, but I recognize that the town was settled by white people and still is predominantly white, why is that a bad thing? Why do we "need" minorities? If they come sure, great, come on over....but what's the point of making it seem like a mostly white town is a bad thing? We don't need a perfect demographic ratio of whites to blacks to latinos, natives and asians. America just doesn't work that way. You could go to Inglewood california (a mostly black and hispanic city) and say the same thing....."this city lacks diversity and culture...it's all blacks and Mexicans!" "Where are the white people and asians and natives?" See what I'm saying?

    • @whatareyoulookingat8
      @whatareyoulookingat8 7 лет назад

      The only one who is closed minded is you. People like you bringing up diversity and colour on every goddamn video. Can't you just enjoy the video and stop always pulling the racist card with your diversity. It's people like you who keep racism intact. Pretty much everyone else here sees the town of Prescott and you are the only one bringing the colour thing up.
